The RiverSong Leadership Team is comprised of coordinators in the areas of Communications, Events, Finance, Marketing, Membership, Music, and the Team Leader. The Leadership Team has the administrative responsibility of collaborating to organize chorus resources and mvoe RiverSong forward. This form of governance ensures shared leadership and creates leadership synergy. Leadership Team coordinators utilize known skills and talents and discover new skills and talents every day! Leadership development is a major goal for all members of RiverSong!
The RiverSong Music Advisory Team, led by the Music Coordinator/Chorus Director, and comprised of assistant directors, voice section leaders, choreographers, performance coordinators, and other members as needed, is responsible for maintaining a high standard of vocal production by the members, selecting the music for performances and competition, hiring coaches, auditioning prospective members, and generally supporting the ongoing musical education of RiverSong. While many team members have formal musical training and/or musical degress, this is not a pre-requisite, as the Sweet Adelines organization offers many Regional and Internation education workshops and opportunities for musical leadership growth.
Together, the Music Advisory Team and Leadership Team work to propel RiverSong along the journey of musical excellence and a very rewarding RiverSong experience!
We have a vision for our future and are systematically and intentionally developing the musical and leadership infrastructure that will allow us to achieve this vision. We understand that success spawns success and are deeply committed to the RiverSong journey!
